Profile bar stock is fed in from the bar feeder and cut to length at the saw station. The moving lathe spindle then picks the workpiece up and machines it; once that operation is finished the fixed lathe spindle takes over and continues on the back face.
The machine carries two moving and two fixed spindles, so two workpieces are machined at the same time. That is what lifts the output.
A chip conveyor sits underneath the spindles, so nobody has to stop the cycle to clear swarf away from the spindle area. The whole sequence — cutting to length, face drilling, facing, chamfering, reaming the bore and automatic pneumatic ejection — was designed and developed in-house.
Machines can be designed and built to your requirements and combined with a CNC system, to raise output while bringing labour cost down.
